Parties empower extremists

Capture of all three branches by extremists

It's kind of hilarious that Antifa and MAGA cargo cults managed to get people into all three branches of government. Just kidding, it’s terrifying. The two political parties are so desperate to win that they throw anyone with a heartbeat and party loyalty into a position of power. Way to go, comrade! Way to take a dump on our democracy.

You can thank political parties for this dystopia.

Suppressing the Independent Voter

Our dysfunctional media landscape excels at making extremists larger than life. We got to hear all about the 10% of the population having a loose screw over the last decade. Whenever the rest of us wanted to be heard, we were drowned out by lunatics. I get it. I’m boring by political standards. A video of a normal person won't get as many clicks as some fruitcake driving an SUV into a crowd of protesters.

Independents have been tricked into believing in this two-party system when most voters are not registered with a party. Candidates don’t need truckloads of money like a decade ago. Here is a hint: Instead of trying to blast a message out to as many faces as possible, try putting great positions together and making them easy to find.

Loyalty to party instead of people

Watch the Senate in action. Hear the words your representatives speak with their own mouths as they take a knee and show fealty to their party leaders.

DANGER

This is the core reason that congressional approval is at 20%.

I honestly want to know how Congress defends this.

Whatever dashboards you are looking at for the next election will be wrong. They will be wrong because the underlying assumptions in your models are no longer always true. The good part is that without political party distortions, they will be more predictable in the future assuming your models include Independent candidates.

We elect representatives to represent us.

Represent us, not Wall Street.
Represent us, not extremists.
Represent us, not corporations.
Represent us, not just your party.
Represent us, your constituents and the American public.

It's heartbreaking to see intelligent individuals zealously advocating for positions they know are wrong, that their constituents know are wrong, and that everyone outside of their party knows are wrong. These problems disappear when our information systems can effectively let us drill into details.

INFO

Political parties literally allow some unelected nutjob to have huge influence over our democracy in opposition to the general will.

Your oaths are to the Constitution of the United States, not a party! Organizational power is illegitimate within our democratic structure. This hazard to our Democracy cannot be permitted.

Leviathan must act!
